Broad Cove, Dighton, Massachusetts

A satellite image of a salt marsh shows a stone wall that terminates with stone circles on each side, at the edge of the water. What could be the agricultural purpose?
      North side:
     South side:
     In the marsh, nearby:

     Pretty.
Plenty of quartz flakes eroding out of the bank of the cove, nearby.

- Fabulous example. A practical "European" possibility is: duck hunting blinds. But these are well built structures, and it is unlikely random duck hunters would have the skill for it.

- Pink Quartz flakes? It might be tempting to cause a little bit of "erosion" and look carefully.

Looks very much like your recent Best Pile Yet...

Tim, you are right. I suspect a common function. The "best pile" was located at a similar distance from some mounds with hollows - so the overall site layout was similar.
