Upper Pauggussett, Newtown CT

The Tunnel of Love, possibly a remnant of an Indian Trail:

Tall stacks like that are probably modern - since they are delicate. Also this is the stacking style that seems to be favored by people doing little works of "art" along the trails. All of which means: I wonder how ancient these are?
